Classified: I think this is what I'm most comfortable posting on Tumblr about Kony -
When I posted the #Kony2012 link on Twitter, a LOT of people sent me this. I’d already felt uncomfortable RTing something that called for direct military action, and this solidified my discomfort.
For those asking what you can do to help, please link to…
None, my lord, but that the world’s grown honest.
Then is doomsday near: but your news is not true.
Let me question more in particular: what have you,
my good friends, deserved at the hands of fortune,
that she sends you to prison hither?
Prison, my lord!
Denmark’s a prison.
Then is the world one.
A goodly one; in which there are many confines,
wards and dungeons, Denmark being one o’ the worst.
We think not so, my lord.
Why, then, ‘tis none to you; for there is nothing
either good or bad, but thinking makes it so: to me
it is a prison.
Why then, your ambition makes it one; ‘tis too
narrow for your mind.
1. A graphic tablet— this’ll do!
It’s a Wacom Bamboo Tablet, pretty small and portable; I’d prefer a medium one but if I get one, I won’t complain
2. a Celestron Advanced Biological or Stereo Microscope
3. wireless mouse
4. more RAM
I suspect this list won’t end here.
The internet is pretty much an open space for anyone with a wifi signal or an ethernet cord to publish whatever thought pops up. But most of this content is just content. There is no filter to the stream of consciousness we put out in our own blogs. So, instead of posting random diatribes or fits of loquaciousness, I thought I’d make this a productive and meaningful blog of things I think are worth taking note of— & there are a lot of those.
So, here’s to a new look (hopefully to be improved more once I get back into html coding) and better posts!
tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?
Camping out in my living room using my Pocahontas tent when I was 6 or 7 years old. My memory gets foggier as I get older. A problem I hope to solve in the near future, should I remember to do so.

“You get to the point where you evolve in your life where everything isn’t black and white, good and bad, and you try to do the right thing. You might not like that. You might be very cynical about that. Well, fuck it, I don’t care what you think. I’m trying to do the right thing. I’m tired of Republican-Democrat politics. They can take the job and shove it. I come from a blue-collar background. I’m trying to do the right thing, and that’s where I’m going with this.”
New York Republican State Senator Roy McDonald speaking to a reporter (New York Daily News)
I am proud to be living in such a fine city. What an amazing Pride Weekend it must have been for all my LGBT friends here in New York.
